# Getting Started for Students

> Complete guide for students to access materials, take tests, and track performance

## Welcome, Student!

As a **Student** on Acadine, you'll access study materials, take tests, complete assignments, and track your performance—all in one place. Get detailed feedback on every test and watch your progress over time.

## Getting Access to Acadine

There are two ways you'll get access:

    Your institute admin adds you directly with your details.

    **You'll receive:**

    * Confirmation email with login credentials
    * Immediate access to your dashboard

    Your admin shares an invite link for your batch. You sign up and submit your details.

    **Next steps:**

    * Admin reviews and approves your request
    * You receive a confirmation email once approved
    * You can then log in and access your dashboard

## Your Student Dashboard

When you log in, your dashboard shows everything you need at a glance:

* Email alerts (if mobile app not installed)

### Assignments

Complete practice work and homework assigned by your teachers.

**How it works:**

1. View active assignments on your dashboard
2. Complete the assignment offline
3. Upload your handwritten answer sheet
4. Teacher may manually grade (assignments are NOT auto-evaluated)

  **Assignment vs Test**

  * **Assignment:** Practice/homework → You upload answer sheets → Optional manual grading by teacher
  * **Test:** Formal assessment → Admin uploads answer sheets → Auto-evaluated by AI in 24 hours

### Tests

Tests are formal assessments conducted offline (usually in the presence of an invigilator).

**How it works:**

1. **Scheduled:** Teachers schedule tests, and you receive notifications
2. **Take the test:** Complete the test offline on paper
3. **Admin uploads:** After the test, admin scans and uploads all answer sheets
4. **AI evaluates:** Acadine's AI evaluates your answers in 24 hours
5. **Results published:** You receive detailed feedback and results

**What you get:**

* Detailed feedback for every question
* Step-wise marking showing where you earned or lost marks
* Rubric-based evaluation aligned to exam board standards (CBSE, ICSE, UPSC, etc.)

### View Results & Challenge Grades

Once tests are evaluated, you get instant access to your results with comprehensive feedback.

    1. Submit a grade challenge with your reason
    2. System automatically reviews the evaluation
    3. Teacher may manually review if needed
    4. Updated grade is communicated to you

    This ensures fair, transparent evaluation and gives you a voice in the process.

  If you genuinely believe your answer was evaluated incorrectly, always submit a challenge. The system is designed to ensure fair grading, and your feedback helps improve accuracy.

Stay updated with important announcements from your teachers and admins.

**You'll see:**

* Institute-wide announcements
* Batch-specific updates
* Course or center-related information

**Notifications:**

* Mobile app alerts
* Email (if app not installed)

## Understanding Your Performance

Acadine provides comprehensive analytics to help you understand exactly where you stand and where to improve.
